One of the biggest advantages of PowerISO is how it has low system requirements and backwards compatibility to make it one of the most effective recovery tools that you have ever seen. Especially for older computers, PowerISO works astoundingly well because this is the time of when it was made.

The Interface: Not so Great

If we had to critique one of the things about PowerISO, it would probably be the software's retro look. When you compare it to some of the other applications, the interface doesn't just look old, it looks clunky and unattractive. However, you shouldn't confuse the appearance with how the software performs because in terms of performance, there are few that will do a better job.

PowerISO: Disk Imaging Software

If we had to say what kind of data recovery tools this company will provide you with, it's a disk imaging software software at heart. However, consider it as one of the best because of the powerful tools and how it meets most of your basic imaging needs. It's simple enough that you won't need a rocket scientist to help you figure out how it works. PowerISO has a simple yet intuitive layout that especially works well for the inexperienced users. Part of the hard drive recovery strategy will operate using the hard drive migration process. In that way, it doesn't resemble the traditional backup software in the slightest. You can position the PowerISO to help you with the recovery process, and you can compress and store all your precious media as needed. Even if it's on an old computer.

Low Demand on Resources

Whenever you install something, you first prioritize the level of resource requirements, and PowerISO doesn't require a lot of resources. In fact, it only asks for 64 MB of RAM and 10 MB of hard drive disk space. At the same time, you have a data recovery solution that is also backwards compatible. It reaches all the way back to Windows 98. The features found on this data recovery tool make it especially useful if you had intentions of cloning a hard drive for data recovery on an old computer.

When we look at the program interface, you have a straightforward design that has been made with the Windows shell extension, and this gives you the look of a Windows XP computer. If you have seen the later versions from Windows, you will notice how the interface does look somewhat outdated, but you should let it trick you into believing it won't do a fantastic job because you have easy access to basic imaging features like mount, compress and burn. Everything available in one tool.
